Property Description

The Governors Inn is a 41-room boutique hotel prominently located one block from Florida's Capitol Building and Complex on Tallahassee's famous Adams Street Commons. Its much to be envied location places the hotel in the midst of legislative activities, fine restaurants, football gatherings and downtown's many events such as Springtime Tallahassee and Saturday Market Days. The Governors Inn is also within walking distance to Florida State University and a short drive from FAMU and Tallahassee Community College, making it the ideal home-base for graduation, orientation and university activities. The State Supreme Court, Museum of Florida History, Challenger Center and much more are all just a short walk away. ATRIUM ROOM
Among furnishings in the Atrium rooms are queen or king beds, antique English writing tables and armoires, flat screen televisions, mini-refrigerators and granite vanities. Each is individually decorated with beautiful bedding and upholstery.
DOUBLE QUEEN
The Governors Inn's Double Queen rooms feature elegant four-poster beds with 15 foot vaulted ceilings, armoires housing televisions, English pub tables. The draped floor to ceiling windows provide views of the Capitol and downtown area. These quiet and spacious rooms are located on the third floor of the Inn's North Wing building
JUNIOR SUITE
The Governors Inn Junior Suites boast 15 foot ceilings, queen or king four poster beds and a cozy sitting area with a sleeper sofa. The English antiques bring warmth and heritage to these beautifully appointed rooms located in the North Wing of the Inn. Please contact hotel for availability
LOFT SUITES
The Governors Inn's unique Loft Suites feature a loft bedroom with a King size bed, antique English armoires concealing a flat screen television, and a skylight. A spiral staircase brings you to an intimate sitting area featuring a wood-burning fireplace, sleeper sofa, custom cabinet containing an additional flat screen television and mini-refrigerator, French doors lead to a balcony on Gallie Alley Courtyard.
Lawton Chiles Suite
Named after Florida's Governor "Walking Lawton", the Lawton Chiles' Suite is a unique, oversized suite featuring a sleeping wing and an intimate sitting area. A four poster queen bed, exquisite antique armoire fitted with flat screen television and wet bar highlight the sleeping area. Two sleeper loveseats, an additional flat screen television, ceiling fans, mini refrigerator and pub table writing desk comprise the sitting area that is backed by 25 foot draped and shuttered bay windows, making this suite warm and sunny. Spessard Holland Suite
The Spessard Holland Suite, our most requested accommodation, is named after Florida's 28th Governor. A spacious two-room suite, the Holland offers separate sleeping and living space and a large bath featuring a whirlpool tub. For extra accommodations, the living room sofa is a sleeper. Furnished with beautiful English armoires, flat screen televisions, a wet bar, pub table, and custom upholstery, the Holland Suite is perfect for wedding night couples, VIP guests or a special Valentine surprise.
